I had Jackie Joyner-Kersey, Carl Lewis and Mary Lou Retton as my role models growing up in the 80's. So, naturally I had a lot of influence from them and the overall trend at the time. I never actually attempted to be an Olympic Athlete but, I did do a whole lot of athletic activities and I still do activities that require being physically and mentally fit like an Olympic Athlete.
